Election officials, accompanied by armed police personnel, are visiting the homes of eligible voters to facilitate the voting process. Arrangements have been made to enable these voters to cast their ballots from the comfort of their homes, in accordance with directives from the Election Commission of India.

Under the guidance of Vellore District Election Officer Subbulakshmi, eligible voters across the district have been identified, and election officials are conducting door-to-door visits for postal voting. Necessary facilities have been provided to ensure a smooth and convenient voting experience, allowing elderly voters to participate comfortably from their residences. Meanwhile, in the lead-up to the elections, a voter awareness rally was held on Saturday in Tiruchirappalli district to promote full voter participation. This rally was organized jointly by the My Bharat Center, Tiruchirappalli District, and the Veeramangai Velu Nachiyar Youth Association. Approximately 1,000 women practitioners of the ancient Tamil martial art Silambam showcased their skills during the rally, which commenced from Kalai Kaviri Lalit Kala College.

A similar voter awareness rally took place in Tiruppattur, flagged off by District Collector Shivasoundaravalli. He led efforts to encourage eligible citizens to vote. Students actively participated in the campaign, urging citizens to exercise their democratic rights and promoting the goal of 100 percent voter turnout.

The elections in Tamil Nadu will occur in a single phase on April 23, with vote counting scheduled for May 4. The main contest is anticipated to be between the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA) and the AIADMK-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The SPA includes Congress, DMK, and VCK, while the NDA, led by AIADMK, comprises allies like the BJP and Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK). Additionally, actor-turned-politician Vijay aims to establish a triangular contest in the state elections with his party TVK.
