For a long time, the Enforcement Directorate was investigating Ashok Kharat in several money laundering cases. The complaint was filed in Nashik. As per the initial reports, the Enforcement Directorate investigated in many cities like Nashik, Pune and more in this money laundering case. As per the latest updates, The New Indian Express report, a special Court in Nashik has given approval to the ED in a 70 crore money laundering case. The ED has put out a formal request for permission to arrest, and now the court has granted it. They have some formalities to complete before presenting Ashok Kharat before the court and seeking custody of the accused, the reports reveal.

Earlier, the ED had investigated several bank accounts linked to Kharat and his family members. Many suspicious transactions were also recorded. Kharat faced allegations of extortion and cheating, and the FIR was lodged by the Nashik police.

Ashok Kharat was arrested on March 18 for allegedly r*ping a woman. That was followed by many more similar assault cases. As per the news reports, the SIT is currently investigating 8 assault cases against him. Many Ashok Kharat videos also surfaced on social media, leading to the victims facing depression. The cybercrime department assured the victims of preventing further leaks.
