Guwahati, 08 July (HS): A heated exchange marked the discussion on the Assam Accord in the Assembly after Independent MLA Akhil Gogoi allegedly created a ruckus through his conduct, prompting the Speaker Ranjit Kumar Das to issue him a final warning.
According to BJP MLA Jayanta Prasad Das, Akhil Gogoi first disrupted the proceedings by creating an uproar inside the House. He later sat smiling and laughing with the very minister he had targeted, drawing sharp criticism from the treasury benches.
Taking a swipe at the legislator, Jayanta Prasad Das alleged that Akhil Gogoi was running a nexus inside the Assembly and questioned the sincerity of his protest during the debate on the Assam Accord.----------
