Arun Jaitley cremated at Nigambodh Ghat with full state honours

New Delhi, Aug 25 (HS): Former Union minister Arun Jaitley, who breathed his last at AIIMS yesterday, was cremated at Nigambodh Ghat with full state honours this afternoon.

His body was taken to his residence in Greater Kailash. A large crowd gathered at his residence for the last glimpse of the senior leader. People lined up to pay their respects to their beloved leader.

His body was brought at the BJP headquarters at Pandit Deen Dayal Marg this morning where people paid their last respects to their leader. Thereafter, the funeral of the departed leader was performed in the afternoon at Nigambodh Ghat.

Jaitley, 66, was undergoing treatment at the hospital for several weeks. He was rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences on August 9 after he complained of breathlessness and restlessness.
