CRPF launches cleanliness drive in Sidhra

Jammu, Sept 22 (HS): Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has launched a cleanliness drive in Rangoora village of Sidhra in Jammu on Sunday. The drive was launched by 166 battalion of CRPF in cooperation with locals of Rangoora and Majheen as part of 'Swachhata Hi Sewa' drive underway all over the country.

Prem Chandra Gupta, Commandant 166 Battalion CRPF administered the pledge of cleanliness to all the force personnel, including local public of the village. During the drive people along with force personals came out in large number and clean roads, streets and their nearby areas and contributed towards the objective of 'Swachhata Hi Sewa'.

The enthusiasm and commitment of the force personnel as well as local public towards cleanliness and hygiene was clearly evident from the vigour with which they carried out the cleanliness. Commandant stressed upon the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in our lives and described 'Swachhta Hi Sewa' as a pious drive for the healthy lifestyle of our society. He also encouraged villagers to adopt cleanliness as a lifestyle.

Dr. Amit Kumar, CMO (OG) 166 Battalion CRPF, Anil Kumar Second-in-Command and other personnel of unit and representatives of the villages were also present during the occasion.
