Delhi Court Reserves Verdict in Robert Vadra Money Laundering Case for April 15

New Delhi, 04 April (H.S.):

The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has reserved its judgment on issuing summons to Robert Vadra as an accused in a money laundering case, with Special Judge Sushant Changotra scheduling pronouncement for April 15.

During the hearing, Vadra argued that no money laundering case is made out against him, with his counsel contending that the court should not take cognizance of the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) chargesheet.

The court had issued summons to Vadra and nine other accused on August 2, 2025. The ED filed the chargesheet against Vadra and 10 others on July 17, 2025, linked to a money laundering probe over the Shikohpur land deal in Haryana, naming his firm M/s Skylight Hospitality Pvt Ltd. The agency has attached 43 properties worth ₹37.64 crore belonging to Vadra and his company.

The case originated in 2008 when Skylight Hospitality-where Vadra was a director-purchased 3.5 acres in Gurugram's Shikohpur from Onkareshwar Properties for ₹7.5 crore, with ownership transferred in just 24 hours. In 2012, the firm sold the land to DLF for ₹58 crore, yielding substantial profits; an FIR was registered in 2018 over alleged irregularities.
