Training for Medical Officers on Disaster Management and allied fields

Guwahati, 18 Nov (HS): A 3 day Training Course on Disaster Management and Risk Reduction & Mass casualty Service for Medical officers in Assam organized by the Health & Family welfare Depaftment was inaugurated today at Assam Administrative Staff college by Joint Secretary of Health & Family welfare Depaftment, Government of Assam, Naba Kr. Deka.


The objectives of the training course include the role of Medical officers in Hospital Emergency RiskManagement, Pre Hospital Care, overview of mass casualty, mock drill, management of muscular skeleton trauma, along with fire, emergency management, mass gathering, earthquake and flood risk management. A host of resource persons have been invited to deliver important lectures during the technical sessions lined up for the training. A nurnber of Medical officers from across the state have pafiicipated in the training.
