AIG Hospitals signs MoU with ICMR to boost digital health research

HYDERABAD: AIG Hospitals has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) to strengthen collaboration in digital health and translational research.

The agreement aims to combine AIG Hospitals' clinical expertise with ICMR's national research network to accelerate innovation in healthcare delivery, digital health, and allied disciplines.

Joint studies and funding opportunities planned

Under the MoU, both institutions will undertake joint research projects and co-develop grant proposals to access national and international funding. The collaboration will also enable the exchange of data, expertise, and scientific knowledge, while adhering to regulatory and ethical standards.

A key focus will be translating research into clinical applications to improve patient outcomes.

He added that digital health has strong potential to transform care delivery and the partnership would ensure innovation remains patient-centric.

Emphasis on outreach and knowledge sharing

The MoU also includes plans for academic events, workshops, and digital dissemination to expand the reach of research outcomes. Both organisations will conduct regular reviews to identify new opportunities aligned with national healthcare priorities.
