HYDERABAD: A sanitation worker of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation died after being run over by a bus at the Ali Café crossroads in Amberpet .
The victim, identified as M Pushpa, was walking on the road when she came under the wheels of a bus and died on the spot. She was working as a sanitation staff member in the Amberpet area at the time of the incident.
According to initial information, the accident occurred at a busy junction known for heavy traffic movement. Commuters and local residents said the stretch often witnesses congestion and unsafe driving conditions.
Police from Amberpet police station reached the spot soon after being informed. The body was shifted for post-mortem examination.
A case has been registered, and an inquiry is under way to determine the circumstances leading to the accident, including the role of the bus driver.
