Dammaiguda civic issues: Former Councillor urges immediate road and drainage repairs

HYDERABAD: Former Sarpanch and Councillor Pandala Anuradha Yadagiri Goud has written to the Zonal Commissioner of Malkajgiri Zone about serious problems with civic infrastructure in the 4th Division of Dammaiguda.

In her letter, she asked for urgent action to fix several issues in the area. Specifically, these include damaged roads, blocked drains, poor street lighting, and the need for new concrete roads.

The first main concern is the connecting road in Dammaiguda Old Village, which goes from the Rajiv Gandhi Statue to the Dammaiguda Government High School. This road is important because it serves many colonies and is often used by students and emergency vehicles. However, right now, it is badly damaged, making it unsafe and inconvenient for people. Therefore, it needs urgent repairs for safe and easy access.

The second problem is the underground drain in Sai Priya Colony. The drain line from Sai Priya Apartments to Sri Ramesh Chandra's home often gets blocked, causing sewage to overflow many times. As a result, the former Councillor asked for a quick inspection and fix to improve drainage and prevent health risks.

Additionally, the third concern is not enough street lighting in the 4th Division. With the rainy season coming, poor lighting makes the area unsafe. Therefore, more streetlights and better maintenance are needed.

The last request is to build a strong concrete road from Indiramma Colony to the Pochamma Temple in Indrashankar Colony. Many residents use this road, and it will be even busier during the Bonalu festival. The current road is in bad shape, so a new road is important, especially for the rainy season.

Further Anuradha requested the departments to check the sites soon and start approval for these projects quickly. She is hopeful the Zonal Commissioner will look at her request and take fast action to solve these important civic problems. These improvements are needed to make life better and safer for people in the 4th Division of Dammaiguda.
