MULUGU: Devotees visiting the forest deities Sammakka and Saralamma at Medaram in Tadwai mandal of Mulugu district can now make digital offerings through online payments.
Officials introduced the facility after noticing that several devotees were facing difficulties offering cash after darshan due to a lack of currency notes.
Following discussions with officials of the Canara Bank branch at Tadwai, QR code scanners were installed across the Medaram temple premises.
