Hyderabad: Union agriculture minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Tuesday that El Nino had led to drought-like conditions in some parts of Telangana and Rayalaseema in Andhra Pradesh.
Some areas of Maharashtra and Karnataka were also facing similar conditions.
At the same time, Chouhan said crops had suffered damage due to rainfall and floods. However, he said the impact would not lead to a major decline in crop yields during the 2026-27 kharif season.
