HYDERABAD: Hafeezpet railway station has been redeveloped with modern passenger amenities under a ₹33-crore upgrade project and is expected to be inaugurated soon.
Union Coal Minister G. Kishan Reddy said in a post on X that the redevelopment works, aimed at providing international-standard facilities to passengers, have reached nearly 99% completion.
The project includes a 12-metre-wide Foot Over Bridge equipped with ramps, platform coverings, modern toilets, a renovated station building, an upgraded circulating area, reconstructed platforms, new signboards, and the installation of two lifts and escalators.
According to the minister, the station has been developed with a focus on improving passenger convenience and enhancing travel infrastructure in the city.
The upgraded station is expected to provide better accessibility and commuter facilities once formally opened. The inauguration date is yet to be announced.
