HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Central University (HCU) secured the 246th rank in the QS World University Rankings 2026 (Asia category), emerging as the highest-ranked institution in Telangana.
It also placed fifth among all central universities in India.
HCU tops among Telangana institutions
The university said the performance reinforces its position as a leading higher-education institution in the state. Vice-Chancellor B J Rao said the QS rankings reflect strong academic standards and innovative research.
He said the university continues to act as a centre for innovation and diversity, nurturing thinkers, creators and leaders who make an impact globally.
