According to the IMD, districts including Adilabad, Nizamabad and Karimnagar are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall. Eastern districts such as Warangal and Khammam may witness heavy rain at isolated places.

An orange alert has been issued for parts of the state, while southern and central districts are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall.

Rain alerts to continue through Sunday

For Friday, the IMD issued a yellow alert for Adilabad, Nizamabad and Jagtial districts.

On Saturday, orange alerts will remain in force for Adilabad, Nizamabad, Jagtial and Peddapalli districts. Yellow alerts have also been issued for Kamareddy, Medak, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Mahabubabad and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts.

On Sunday, orange alerts have been issued for Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Peddapalli and Karimnagar districts. Yellow alerts will remain in place for Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts.

Hyderabad to receive light to moderate rain

Hyderabad is expected to experience a generally cloudy sky with light to moderate rainfall during the period.

The weather department said dry conditions are likely to prevail across Telangana after July 7.
