How Cyberabad Traffic Police plan to tackle monsoon traffic chaos

HYDERABAD: Cyberabad Traffic Police have drawn up an action plan to improve traffic management and ensure smooth vehicular movement across the commissionerate, with a focus on tackling monsoon-related disruptions and traffic violations.

Cyberabad Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic)

Singh reviewed traffic management arrangements after assuming charge on Monday. He directed officials to complete pending works, in coordination with the concerned departments, at locations prone to waterlogging that disrupt traffic during the monsoon.

Strict enforcement against dangerous driving

Singh instructed officials to maintain strict surveillance on wrong-way driving and other dangerous traffic violations and to take stringent action against offenders.

He also directed traffic personnel to prevent vehicle parking at free-left turns to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow. Officials were asked to make necessary arrangements to improve vehicle movement at U-turns and busy junctions.

Field inspection of congestion hotspots

The Joint Commissioner conducted a field inspection of major traffic bottlenecks under the Gachibowli traffic police station limits. He visited Gachibowli Village, Radisson Junction, AMB Mall Junction, Kothaguda Junction, Anjaiah Nagar and the Labour Adda area to assess traffic conditions.

During the inspection, Singh suggested measures to improve traffic flow, optimise signal management and strengthen traffic regulation at key junctions. He also reviewed arrangements along the VIP and VVIP route between the Cable Bridge and the IKEA flyover to ensure smooth movement.
