HYDERABAD: Kaloji varsity opens MBBS mop-up web options

HYDERABAD: Kaloji varsity opens MBBS mop-up web options

HYDERABAD: Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has begun mop-up counselling to fill vacant MBBS seats under the convenor quota in government, private unaided non-minority and minority medical colleges in Telangana.

Eligible candidates can exercise their web options until 5pm on Wednesday through https://tsmedadm.tsche.in/, the university said.

Candidates who did not exercise web options in the first phase, those who were allotted seats in previous rounds but did not join, and those who secured admissions up to the Medical Counselling Committee's (MCC) third round are ineligible for this counselling. Students already admitted to colleges can exercise sliding options.

The university has allocated half the increased seats at TRRR and Medicity colleges to the convenor quota. Candidates allotted seats must pay a university fee of ₹ 12,000 to obtain their allotment orders. Those who have already paid the fee need not pay again.

Vacancy matrix lists 56 MBBS seats across colleges

The university has released a category-wise vacancy matrix covering Gandhi Medical College, Osmania Medical College, Kakatiya Medical College and other government, private and minority medical colleges.

The mop-up pool includes 56 seats that remained vacant because candidates who received allotments in previous rounds did not join or gave up their seats through free exit. Gandhi Medical College has the highest number of vacancies, with 12 seats.

More seats may become vacant through sliding. Officials said candidates can exercise options for any number of colleges, based on their preferences.

Candidates face ₹ 20 lakh penalty and three-year debarment

KNRUHS has warned that candidates who fail to join after being allotted a seat in the mop-up round, or discontinue their course after joining, will face a penalty of ₹ 20 lakh and debarment from MBBS admissions under the university for three years.

The university said it would return original certificates only after the penalty is paid.

If a candidate receives a new seat through sliding, the previous allotment will be cancelled automatically. The university advised candidates to select only colleges they intend to join.

Candidates can contact 9392685856 or 7842136688 to resolve queries and technical issues.
