HYDERABAD: Protests continued in the city on Friday against the alleged killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, with the Telangana Joint Action Committee organising a demonstration near Charminar.
Scores of people gathered at the historic monument after Friday prayers and condemned the reported killing of Khamenei. The protesters also criticised the attacks on Iran by Israel and the United States.

Participants demanded an immediate end to the attacks on Iran and called for international intervention to halt the violence. Protesters also termed the killing of schoolchildren in the conflict a "barbaric act".
Many demonstrators raised slogans and expressed solidarity with the people of Iran during the gathering.
Protest also held at Langar Houz
As reported by TT A separate protest was organised at Langar Houz on Friday by another group over the same issue. Participants at the demonstration voiced similar concerns and condemned the attacks on Iran.
The protests remained peaceful, with participants dispersing after the demonstrations.
