HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Traffic Police booked 404 cases during a special drunk-driving enforcement drive conducted on August 21 and 22, 2026.

The age-wise data released by Hyderabad Traffic Police showed that 144 cases involved people aged 21 to 30 years.

Another 140 cases involved people aged 31 to 40 years, while 70 cases were registered against those aged 41 to 50 years.
The three age groups together accounted for 354 cases. The police post did not provide an age-wise breakup for the remaining 50 cases.
Police urge motorists to avoid driving after consuming alcohol
Hyderabad Traffic Police advised motorists not to drink and drive, warning that the decision could put their lives and those of other road users at risk.
The department urged motorists to drive safely and reach their destinations without endangering other road users.
