HYDERABAD: Police seized 316 grams of Methamphetamine worth ₹63,20,000 and arrested two persons during a raid in Jeedimetla on April 3, 2026.
Raid conducted jointly by SOT and Jeedimetla police
The Special Operations Team (SOT), Quthbullapur, along with Jeedimetla police, conducted the raid at Ganesh Nagar near Kaman Chintal under the limits of Jeedimetla police station.
Police arrested one drug peddler and one consumer during the operation. They seized 316 grams of Methamphetamine, two weighing machines worth ₹8,000, and a mobile phone worth ₹10,000. The total value of the seized property is ₹63,38,000.

The case has been registered as Crime No. 306/2026 under Sections 8(c) read with 22(c), 27(b), and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Accused identified
- Vemula Sai Kumar (raw: Vemula Sai Kumar; corrected: Vemula Sai Kumar), a resident of Jeedimetla, identified as the peddler supplying Methamphetamine to local consumers.
- Tirumala Arvind alias Maari (raw: Tirumala Arvind @ Maari; corrected: Tirumala Arvind alias Maari), a resident of Jagadgirigutta, identified as a consumer.
Investigation revealed that both accused were addicted to NDPS drugs.
Police said the main supplier, identified as Poojith from Quthbullapur, is on the run. Officials have also identified multiple consumers linked to the case who are absconding.
Further arrests likely as probe expands
Efforts are underway to trace and arrest the absconding accused. The arrested persons and seized material have been produced before the court for further legal action.
Police urge public to report drug activities
DCP Quthbullapur Zone N Koti Reddy said the public should remain vigilant and report suspicious drug-related activities. He added that strict action will be taken against those involved in drug peddling and consumption.
