Telangana : The National Investigation Agency (NIA), along with cybercrime and local police, conducted searches in Ramagundam of Peddapalli district in connection with a cybercrime case.
NIA teams carried out searches at six locations across the country, including Gujarat, Bihar, Maharashtra, New Delhi and Ramagundam in Telangana, officials said.

The NIA team questioned Mujamil Khan, an engineering student and son of dental doctor Ayub Khan, a resident of Ayodhya Nagar in Ramagundam.

The officials reached Mujamil's house in Ayodhya Nagar at 5.30am and conducted searches. They seized a laptop and a mobile phone from him.
Student says he was added to social media group
Mujamil told officials that unidentified people had added him to a social media group, saying they would teach an artificial intelligence (AI) course.
He said the group's organisers were later arrested for allegedly being involved in anti-national activities.
The NIA officials issued a notice to Mujamil for now and asked him to remain available whenever he is called for questioning.
