HYDERABAD:Osmania University will host a 10-day national workshop on artificial intelligence-driven research from January 20 to 31, 2026, aimed at postgraduates, young scientists and faculty members.
Organised by the Central Facility for Research and Development in collaboration with the Office of the Osmania University Alumni Association, the workshop has drawn about 400 participants from across the country.
Inauguration on January 20 at PGRRCDE
The workshop will be inaugurated on January 20 at 2 pm at the PGRRCDE Auditorium. Vice-chancellor Kumar Molugaram will be the chief guest. The event will also feature AI trainer and Editor (Investigations), The Times of India, U. Sudhakar Reddy as guest of honour, and Anuradha, executive director at IBM, as the keynote speaker.
Focus on AI tools, ethics in research
Sessions will cover AI-enabled research methodologies, advanced analytics for literature review and data analysis, and ethical use of artificial intelligence to safeguard academic integrity.
E. Sujatha, director of the Central Facility for Research and Development and workshop convener, said the initiative would help equip researchers with essential digital skills and keep the university aligned with emerging technologies. Sessions will be held daily from 2 pm to 5 pm.
