HYDERABAD:The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas, made a strong start at the global box office, grossing ₹112 crore worldwide on its opening day, according to early trade estimates.
Strong domestic start
The film saw high occupancy across Telugu-speaking states, with several centres reporting near-capacity shows from morning screenings. Multiplex chains and single screens benefited from sustained footfalls through the day, aided by advance bookings and festive-season advantage.
Overseas markets contribute
Overseas territories, including North America and parts of the Middle East, also added significantly to the Day 1 total. Trade trackers said the film registered one of the better opening-day performances for a Telugu release overseas this year.
Weekend outlook positive
Industry observers said the opening-day numbers put the film in a strong position heading into the weekend. Word-of-mouth over the next two days is expected to play a key role in determining the film's longer-term box office trajectory.
