The exercise was held in collaboration with Mahabaleshwar Koyna Adventure and River Rafting, a Maharashtra-based organisation. Participants began rafting downstream from Pochera waterfall and covered a 6-km stretch to Kupti bridge in about 90 minutes.

Special officer Pranay said the trial was scheduled ahead of Friday's district tourism promotion council meeting. "We will present proposals for river rafting and kayaking to the council members. If approved, rafting will be organised during the monsoon season, and kayaking will be introduced once water flow reduces," he added. Indravelli special officer Santosh also took part in the trial.
