KHAMMAM: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught a Tahsildar, a revenue inspector and a data entry operator red-handed while accepting a ₹10,000 bribe in Thallada mandal office of Khammam district on September 17, 2025.

Officials identified the accused as Vankayala Suresh Kumar, Tahsildar; Maloth Bhaskar Rao, Revenue Inspector; and Shivaji Rathod, data entry operator (outsourced).

According to the ACB, the accused demanded money from a complainant to process and register land purchased in his name. Rathod received the bribe on behalf of all three officials.

Tainted cash recovered

The agency recovered the tainted cash of ₹10,000 from Rathod's possession. ACB said the accused officers had acted dishonestly and abused their official position for personal gain.

Accused produced before court

The three were arrested and produced before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases in Warangal. The case is under investigation. The complainant's identity has been withheld for security reasons.

The ACB has urged the public to report bribery demands on its toll-free number 1064, WhatsApp 9440446106, Facebook (Telangana ACB) or X (formerly Twitter) handle @TelanganaACB. Officials assured that complainants' identities will be kept confidential.
