HYDERABAD: Renowned sculptor Hoti Basavaraj, originally from Nyalkal in Sangareddy district and now based in Hyderabad, has carved a Bhavani idol blindfolded, stunning onlookers.
Creates idol blindfolded in 70 minutes
Basavaraj, who earlier crafted a Ganesh idol in the same manner, made a 3-foot Bhavani idol in just 70 minutes without removing the blindfold. He relied solely on touch to shape the figure.

Basavaraj, who runs a sculpture workshop in Hyderabad, said he undertook the effort as part of Navratri festivities. He is also attempting to secure a Guinness World Record for his blindfolded sculpting.
Several people expressed surprise at the level of precision achieved without sight.
