HYDERABAD: Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said a double-decker elevated corridor proposed from LB Nagar to Hayathnagar will benefit nearly 20 lakh residents across 54 colonies in the area.
He said commuters on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway would be able to cross the city within 15 minutes once the project is completed.
Review meeting held with central, state agencies
The minister reviewed the project on Thursday at the Secretariat with officials from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL), Roads and Buildings Department (R&B), and National Highways (NH).

"The double-decker elevated corridor will be built over a stretch of 7.1 km from LB Nagar to Hayathnagar. The project is estimated to cost ₹941 crore. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has agreed to provide ₹200 crore as the state's share," Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said.
He added that he would meet Union Minister Nitin Gadkari next week to request early commencement of the works.
