Telangana : Telangana Tourism will launch helicopter services from Hyderabad to Somasila and Srisailam from April 9, offering a combined scenic and spiritual travel experience.
The service will allow tourists to view the Krishna river at Somasila and visit key temples, including the Lalitambika Someswara Temple and the Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple at Srisailam.
Officials said the initiative aims to combine tourism with pilgrimage, making it accessible to a wider range of travellers.

The helicopter service will be operated by Hyderabad-based Aradhya Travels. Arrangements for the launch have been completed.

Tourism minister Jupally Krishna Rao said the state is working to develop tourism infrastructure to attract global visitors.
"As part of this effort, we are launching helicopter tourism from Hyderabad via Somasila to Srisailam," he said.
He added that the Kollapur constituency will be developed into a tourism destination with wider recognition.
Packages and pricing details
A one-day package is priced at ₹1,10,000 per person. The helicopter will be ready in Hyderabad at 5:30 am and depart at 7 am, reaching Somasila shortly after.
Tourists will be shown the Krishna river and taken for darshan at the Lalitambika Someswara Temple. The helicopter will then leave at 8:30 am for Srisailam, arriving by 11:30 am.
After VIP darshan at the Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple, the return journey will begin around 11 am, reaching Hyderabad by 12:30 pm.
A two-day package is priced at ₹1,40,000 per person. It includes accommodation, meals and VIP darshan at all temples.
Tourists from other states will have the option of a one-day stay in Hyderabad. The package also includes one-night stays each at Somashila and Srisailam, with all arrangements handled by organisers.
