Hyderabad : Fifteen entrepreneurs from the Telugu states have secured places in the latest global billionaires list released by the American magazine Forbes.
Most of them belong to the pharmaceutical sector.
Divi's Laboratories founder Murali Divi is the highest-ranked entrepreneur from the Telugu states. He is placed at 1,010 globally with a net worth of $3.32 billion.
GMR Group founder G M Rao ranks 1,108 with a wealth of $3.9 billion. Apollo Hospitals founder Prathap C Reddy stands at 1,189 with $3.6 billion.
Hetero Group promoter B Parthasaradhi Reddy is ranked 1,251 with $3.4 billion, while Biological E managing director Mahima Datla stands at 1,325 with $3.2 billion.
Aurobindo Pharma promoter P V Ramprasad Reddy ranks 1,406 with $3 billion, followed by MSN Pharma founder M Satyanarayana Reddy, who stands at 1,440 with $2.9 billion.
My Home Group chairman Jupally Rameswar Rao is placed at 1,834 with a net worth of $2.3 billion.
Megha Engineering promoters P V Krishna Reddy and P Pichi Reddy appear in the list at 1,982 and 2,052, with net worth of $2.1 billion and $2 billion respectively.
Dr Reddy's Laboratories leaders K Satish Reddy and G V Prasad are ranked 2,481, with fortunes of $1.6 billion and $1.5 billion.
Laurus Labs founder Satyanarayana Chava is placed at 2,600 with $1.2 billion.
HBL Power Systems chairman Alluru Jagadish Prasad ranks 3,017 with $1.1 billion.
Suven Pharmaceuticals chairperson Subbamma Jasti also features in the global list of billionaires.
