In view of the festival rush, RTC officials have been directed to remain available at the field level and personally monitor conditions at major bus stations and crowded areas.

They were asked to arrange additional buses wherever required and take steps to ensure passengers do not face inconvenience.

Officials have also been told to ensure drinking water, toilets and cleanliness at bus stations.

Free travel for women under Mahalaxmi scheme continues

The free bus travel facility for women passengers under the Mahalaxmi scheme will continue as usual, the RTC said.

Officials have been advised to keep adequate buses available in proportion to the number of women passengers.

The RTC also appealed to its employees to perform their duties collectively and with restraint during the festival rush and provide better services to passengers.

TGS-RTC said it would take all necessary measures to help passengers reach their destinations safely during Rakhi Pournami.
