HYDERABAD: Police have imposed strict security restrictions at Uppal Stadium ahead of the friendly football match scheduled for 7 pm today.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu said only spectators with valid tickets will be allowed entry.
List of prohibited items released
The commissioner said laptops, banners, cameras, electronic items, pens, batteries, food items, water bottles, matchboxes, lighters and cigarettes will not be permitted inside the stadium. Spectators will be subjected to thorough security checks before entry.
International players, CM to attend match
The friendly match will feature football star Lionel Messi along with international players and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Police have deployed around 3,000 personnel as part of the security arrangements for the Messi GOAT India Tour.
Entry into the stadium will be allowed from the afternoon, police said.
