HYDERABAD: After the Medaram Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara, the state's largest tribal festival, public attention turned to a young officer whose disciplined presence with Minister for Tribal Welfare and Forests, Seethakka, sparked curiosity online.
Vasundhara Yadav Faurebi, a 2023-batch IPS officer now serving as Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in Sattupally, became one of the most searched personalities linked to the event.
Officer Yadav, from the 76th Regular Recruit batch of the IPS, has made a notable start to her career. After clearing the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2022, she was allocated the Telangana cadre. Her training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) in Hyderabad prepared her for police service.
ACP Vasundhara Yadav is known for being posted early in her career with the Greyhounds, Telangana's special police team that fights Naxal groups. This job, given to officers who are strong both physically and mentally, showed that the police leaders trusted her abilities. While with the team, she took part in risky missions in tough areas.
In November 2025, she moved to an important district police job as ACP of Sattupally area in Khammam district. Now leading efforts to keep peace, stop crime, and protect the public, she has gone from special police work to the fast-changing world of working directly with the community.
Her path from UPSC hopeful to Greyhounds team member and now district leader shows the many challenges Indian Police Service officers face. Her key role at the busy Medaram Jatara, an event that needs careful security and crowd management, put her in the spotlight and made many people curious about her online.
Her presence alongside Minister Seethakka during the festival became a powerful symbol of the administration's dedication to both cultural heritage and public safety. As her story continues to capture public attention, ACP Vasundhara Yadav emerges as a shining example of the new generation of committed officers shaping the future of Indian law enforcement.
