HYDERABAD: A farmer from Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district has approached the Telangana High Court, alleging that the Congress government failed to implement its farm loan waiver promise.
Petition cites Government Order on loan waiver
The petitioner said the government had issued Government Order 567, promising waiver of farm loans up to ₹2 lakh. He stated that despite having an outstanding loan of ₹1.50 lakh, the amount was not waived.
Farmer seeks court direction
The petitioner, Narasimha Reddy, hails from Jangareddypalli village in Valigonda mandal of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. In his petition, he said the Congress had reiterated the loan waiver promise before the elections and announced its implementation after coming to power.
