The Calcutta Management Association (CMA) successfully organized "Swagatam" , its Members' Induction Programme for 2025-26, reaffirming the Association's commitment to strengthening member engagement and building a dynamic, future-ready management ecosystem.
The event was hosted at ASMI Business School of the Techno India Group at Sector V, Salt Lake, while the HR Learning Network partnered the programme as the Networking Partner.
The induction ceremony formally welcomed new members across various categories including Individual Annual, Individual Life, Corporate Annual, Corporate Life and Student Memberships. The programme witnessed the presence of CMA's senior leadership, Executive Committee members, patrons and representatives from several subcommittees.
The inaugural session was attended by Kaustav Majumdar, Chief Mentor of ASMI Business School, and Sayak Sarkar, Co-Founder of the HR Learning Network. Along with CMA President, Vice President and members of the Academia Subcommittee, they ceremonially unveiled the first revamped edition of CMA's e-journal "Profit the Mind," specially published in physical format for the occasion.
Welcoming the participants, the dignitaries appreciated the initiative and expressed optimism regarding future collaborative programmes between their organizations and Calcutta Management Association.
The programme was graced by CMA President Indranil Banerjee and Vice President Vibhor Tandon, along with representatives from various CMA subcommittees.
The HR Subcommittee was represented by Chairperson Dibyendu Basu along with Debraj Roy, Saibal Sarkar and Rahul Chattopadhyay.
The Academia Connect Subcommittee was represented by Chairperson Rana Bandyopadhyay along with Gautam Mukhopadhyay and Subhendu Narayan Roy.
The Technology Subcommittee was represented by Co-Chairperson Pradeep Mukhopadhyay and Ina Bose, while the Gen Z Subcommittee was represented by Chairperson Kaushik Choudhury and Abhishek Kar.
The Finance Subcommittee was represented by Aditya Sen, while the Sunrise Sector Subcommittee was represented by Arijit Banerjee. The Sustainability Task Force included Gautam Mukherjee and Himadri Das. Executive Committee Member Pradeep Bandyopadhyay was also present during the programme.
In a symbolic gesture of inclusivity and professional unity, members of the CMA leadership team collectively inducted the new members into the CMA fraternity. The programme proceedings were conducted by Master of Ceremony Debraj Roy.
"Swagatam" marked another important milestone in CMA's more than 70-year journey, reflecting the Association's renewed focus on structured member engagement, professional collaboration and institutional inclusivity. The initiative further reinforced CMA's vision of creating a vibrant platform connecting industry leaders, academicians, entrepreneurs, young professionals and management practitioners.
Addressing the gathering, the President, Executive Committee members, patrons and senior members expressed confidence regarding the growing momentum within Calcutta Management Association and reiterated their commitment towards advancing the management profession through collaboration, knowledge-sharing and professional networking.
CMA also announced plans to institutionalize the Members' Induction Programme as an annual initiative aimed at strengthening a progressive and connected management community in Kolkata and beyond.
Under the leadership of Indranil Banerjee, CMA has reportedly witnessed remarkable membership growth during the current financial year, recording nearly 370 percent growth over previous average figures - reflecting the renewed energy, outreach and engagement initiatives undertaken by the Association.
