Speaking at the inaugural session, Prashant Sharma, Chairman of the ICC National Healthcare Committee and Managing Director of Charnock Hospitals, emphasized that healthcare must move beyond treatment towards prevention, rehabilitation, and wellness. He noted that sports medicine will play a critical role in improving both athletic performance and public health.

Dr. Sankar Sengupta, Vice President of CAHO and Medical Superintendent of Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute, stressed the need for standardized clinical practices, patient safety, and evidence-based care to strengthen sports medicine services.
