New Delhi, May 26, 2026: In a major push to strengthen India's semiconductor manufacturing and design ecosystem, the India Semiconductor Mission under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has launched a dedicated online platform titled "Investors Support" to assist ecosystem players and global investors exploring opportunities in India's rapidly expanding semiconductor sector.
The portal, launched on May 26, 2026, is aimed at enhancing investor confidence and providing a single-window facilitation mechanism for semiconductor investments in the country.
Under the Government of India's ambitious Semicon India Programme, a total of 12 fabrication and packaging projects along with 24 semiconductor design projects have already received approval, reflecting the country's growing focus on building a resilient, trusted, and sustainable semiconductor ecosystem.

The portal will also enable investors to submit grievances, queries, and operational concerns online. These issues will be addressed by officials of the India Semiconductor Mission in coordination with nodal officers from various ministries, departments, state governments, approved project companies, and industry associations.
Speaking during the launch event, Shri Amitesh Kumar Sinha, CEO of India Semiconductor Mission, stressed the importance of proactive investor facilitation and coordinated support mechanisms to attract global semiconductor investments into India.
He urged all stakeholders to actively contribute towards timely resolution of investor concerns and strengthening India's semiconductor manufacturing and chip design capabilities.
Officials said the platform offers a secure, role-based digital interface designed to streamline inter-agency coordination and ensure faster resolution of investor-related issues.
The launch event also featured a detailed walkthrough of the portal's architecture, functionalities, onboarding process, coordination framework, and the roles and responsibilities of nodal officers from participating ministries, departments, organizations, state governments, project companies, and industry bodies.
The initiative is expected to further accelerate India's efforts to emerge as a major global semiconductor manufacturing and innovation hub amid rising international demand for diversified and secure chip supply chains.
