Audience react to Euphoria season 3 trailer

HBO Max on March 30, Monday unveiled a new trailer for Euphoria Season 3. Zendaya is returning as Rue Bennett in the third season of the Emmy-winning drama series alongside Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Colman Domingo and Dominic Fike.

The three-minute eight-second trailer shows Zendaya's Rue being interrogated by Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents after she's shown working with drug dealers in Mexico. Sydney Sweeney's Cassie and Jacob Elordi's Nate are married. The video also shows Cassie reuniting with Maddy (Alexa Demie) to shoot cam girl content.

However, fans were not very happy with the trailer. One wrote, "The whole vibe from the first 2 seasons got erased, it feels like im watching another show," while another commented, "It makes no sense why any of them are still together. In school you have no choice. But as adults, why spend time with the same people. And it seems that Rue has the same role in every season. There's no growth."

Another Euphoria fan wrote, "It doesn't look like euphoria anymore, but god am I so excited

But some fans liked the new vibe. One wrote, "I'm glad they took the show is a completely new direction. It's crazy cause for Season 2 so many people complained about the high school stuff and storylines, but now people are complaining that the show looks different.. It's a blessing," while another commented, "I can't believe how intense this looks, are we ready for all the drama?."

Last year, at an HBO Max event in London, Euphoria creator Sam Levinson spoke about the third season and said, "Jules [Schafer] is in art school, very nervous about having a career as a painter and trying to avoid responsibility at all costs. Maddy [Demie] is working in Hollywood at a talent agency for a manager, she's obviously got her own side hustles going. And Lexi [Apatow] is an assistant to a showrunner played by Sharon Stone, who is just absolutely delightful and a true icon."
