Fans Fear Bucky Barnes' Death In Avengers Doomsday With Sebastian Stan's The Batman Part 2 Rumours

After Scarlett Johansson, rumours have started flying around about Sebastian Stan being in talks to join TheBatman: Part II. The reports also suggest that he may not only be a part of it, but he may be playing one of the villains of the sequel.

As Harvey Dent, or Two Face, fans would get to see Sebastian Stan play a villain once again. Johansson joining the DCU comes after her Black Widow died in Avengers: Endgame. Unfortunately, fans have started to wonder if the same fate could befall Bucky Barnes.

It isn't as though Marvel stars haven't worked on DC projects and vice versa. In fact, the co-CEO of the DCU, James Gunn, previously helmed the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. It is easy to say that jumping ship from one to another isn't that difficult. However, it is still a rare occurrence.

If Sebastian Stan is actually joining The Batman: Part II,then it could also allude to the fact that his Bucky Barnes may be looking at a gruesome fate in Avengers: Doomsday. From Sergeant Bucky Barnes to the Winter Soldier, from the White Wolf to Congressman Bucky Barnes, his journey has garnered a massive fan following.

Furthermore, his growth in Thunderbolts* contributed to making him one of the most important characters of the New Avengers. If he were to die, it would be tragic, not only for Steve Rogers, who is making his return, but also for those who grew up watching him.

Nothing may be confirmed, but fans are sure that joining the Robert Pattinson sequel means that Sebastian Stan's iconic character might just be dying in Avengers: Doomsday. Then again, death in the MCU seems to be temporary if you're lucky enough (sorry Natasha).

Either way, it would give fans the opportunity to see Sebastian Stan play a villain again, this time in the DC franchise. Batman has always had a very interesting rogues gallery, and to explore that with the inclusion of Harvey Dent could be an interesting take. Especially considering that the last time we saw him in a live-action adaptation was with the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight trilogy.
