Netizens review Harry Potter series teaser
Based on Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the series follows Harry, Ron, and Hermione through their first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The teaser traces Harry's life before discovering his magical roots, including moments of neglect and bullying, before he steps into a world of wonder. As soon as the teaser dropped, many netizens shared their opinions on the newly made show.
Most netizens are missing the OG cast and feel it's hard to imagine anyone else doing those roles. One netizen wrote, "This feels like one of those parallel universes where everything is the same, but slightly off," while another commented, "It's so weird seeing other actors play McGonagall, Hagrid, Malfoy etc. The original movies are still so fresh in my mind."
Another Potterhead wrote, "Rest easy Alan Rickman, Michael Gambon, Richard Harris, Maggie Smith, Robbie Coltrane, Richard Griffiths, Helen McCrory, and all those Harry Potter actors who made our childhood."
However, one thing the internet seemed to unanimously agree on was the casting of Snape, with many feeling it was a misstep.
One netizen wrote, "Voldemort trusted a black man more than anyone….harry didn't trust the only black professor……Harry dad bullied the one black kid."
