Just hours after makers released the Ramayana teaser on April 2, the internet was filled with criticism. While some called out the makers for the bad VFX, some felt Ranbir Kapoor did not look and feel like Lord Ram.
Now, after a few days following the Ramayana teaser controversy, director Namit Malhotra took to social media and penned a long note for fans. He wrote that he is listening to all the criticism and promised audience to give them something they have never seen before.

Taking to social media, the producer, who has invested around ₹4,000 crore in the film, addressed the backlash. He wrote, "Dear all, the response over the past few days has truly been overwhelming, inspiring, and humbling. Seeing how our Rama continues to touch so many hearts across the world fills me with deep humility and joy. I cherish all of the conversations, the excitement, and the feedback. This is a story etched in the souls of billions and deserves our utmost care".
"The many thousands of artists and collaborators who have been working away passionately are enthusiastic and energised to get out there and continue to deliver the absolute best in every department. We're listening closely, working diligently, and pouring every effort possible into honouring it with the reverence it holds," he added.

But netizens are really angry about the film's VFX. Taking to the comments, many reacted to Namit's reaction to trolls. One wrote, "Shoot in real locations instead of VFX. Come on guys 4000 cr budget, Nolan's Odyssey with 2000cr budget looks more stunning and captivating in the trailer than yours. Practical effect over CGI anytime," while another comment read, "The rakshas could be indian style, there is so much great designs already present in pinterest u could have use that not these western monsters."
Another netizen commented, "First of all thank you for listening to people's feedback and responding to what happened after first glimpse revel, clearly you see people are not happy with VFX and CGI."

The makers shared the teaser on the pious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. Sharing the teaser, Namit Malhotra wrote, "Rama is the greatest of all time because he lived a life where the choices he made were always in the benefit of the greater good, duty over desire, and sacrifice over self. His legacy continues to enhance and empower humanity over time and bring the belief in the goodness of the human spirit to resolve all conflict and bring peace to the world.
