Seven weeks after its release, Dhurandhar: The Revenge had to slow down; however, even after all this time, it continues to break records and reach new levels.
On Sunday, the Ranveer Singh film officially surpassed the lifetime collection of SS Rajamoulu's Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, and became the second-highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
Dhurandhar 2 surpasses Baahubali 2's lifetime collection
Dhurandhar 2 completed 46 days in theatres on Sunday, May 3, and while the screen count has dropped below 500 for the first time since the movie first released, there's clearly no stopping the movie just yet.
With the film's collections going down to Rs 1-1.5 crore per day, the movie has managed to earn a whopping Rs 1,138 crore net (Rs 1,362 crore gross) at the box office. The film's run overseas, too, has been phenomenal, as it has managed to earn over $50 million, despite not releasing in the Gulf. And now, the movie has surpassed Baahubali 2's decade-old milestone, and has surpassed its Rs 1,788 crore mark, by earning Rs 1,789 crore at the global box office.

One of the reasons for the movie finally slowing down at the box office was also multiple releases over the last few weeks, including Bhooth Bangla, Michael, and The Devil Wears Prada 2. With the coming weekend, the numbers for the Aditya Dhar directorial are likely to drop below Rs 50 lakh a day with new films releasing.
As of now, it looks like the movie might reach the Rs 1,800 crore mark worldwide, but anything beyond that isn't likely, which means that the movie is going to remain at the second spot as far as high-grossing Indian films are concerned. Dangal, meanwhile, will remain untouched with its Rs 2,070 crore mark.
Now, the only films that might challenge these figures in the near future look like Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana and SS Rajamouli's Varanasi.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar 2 is the sequel to the 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar, which earned Rs 1,300 crore worldwide. Along with Ranveer, the two films also star a massive cast, including Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun.
