Salman Khan has reportedly intervened and called for peace between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar. A source told Bollywood Hungama, "Salman Khan is fond of Ranveer Singh, and is equally fond of the Akhtars too. He picked up the call on both the stakeholders and has asked them to resolve their issues without hurting the future of their respective projects. He explained to Farhan about creative differences being a common thing in the industry for decades, and he also had a long chat with Ranveer, understanding his stance. He is playing the cupid to ensure that no one feels sabotaged."

Both Farhan and Ranveer have reportedly taken Salman Khan's advice seriously and are now considering resolving the matter. Salman is reportedly trying to avoid legal problems for the two, while also ensuring that film industry bodies do not act on incomplete information. Sources suggest he has encouraged Farhan and Ranveer to settle their differences privately, without involving any third party, including himself.
Ranveer Singh's team's response
FWICE has prohibited Singh from collaborating with members of the federation until the dispute is resolved. The body has also backed the producers' claim seeking ₹45 crore in compensation for alleged losses incurred during the pre-production stage.
Reacting to the controversy, Singh's spokesperson stated that the actor had deliberately remained silent on the matter throughout the dispute.
"Ranveer Singh holds the highest regard for the film fraternity and for everyone associated with the Don franchise. Throughout the recent developments surrounding Don 3, he has consciously chosen to maintain silence, believing that professional discussions and personal equations are best handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect," the statement read.

The note further added, "While several narratives and speculations have surfaced over time, Ranveer has never considered it necessary to respond publicly or contribute to conjecture. His focus remains firmly on his work and the commitments ahead. He continues to hold deep respect and goodwill for all those involved and sincerely wishes the franchise continued success. Choosing restraint and grace in moments like these has always been a conscious decision on his part, and he will continue to maintain the same stance," the statement further read
The film currently is stuck in a limbo and there are no new reports of which actor will replace Ranveer Singh as Don.
