'I don't believe in God': SS Rajamouli's remarks spark a debate online
At the event, a visibly emotional SS Rajamouli said, "I don't believe in God. My father mentioned that Hanuman will guide me. I got angry as soon as this (glitches) happened. Is this how he's helping me?" The director was overwhelmed with emotions and took a pause.
He then added that his wife, Rama, was a great devotee of Hanuman. "My wife has a great devotion to Lord Hanuman. She talks to him like he's her friend. I even got angry with her for a while. Let's see," said the director. Later during the event, Rajamouli tried to play the glimpse once again. Before playing it, he said, "Of course, we want to see the trailer once again. I am also waiting for it. Father, if your Hanuman saved me once, let's see if my wife's Hanuman does it again."

The comments didn't go down well with netizens as many wondered what was the need for bringing Hanuman ji during a technical failure. He should've questioned the incompetence of his team, one user said. "Rajamouli should have shown his frustration on his Technical Team, Event Organisers, instead of passing sarcastic comments on the religious beliefs of his father and wife. Especially when you are aiming to earn on the same beliefs. Behaved like an Average Arrogant SM Troll," wrote a user.

Another one wrote, "He doesn't believe in God, he claims he's atheist. But wants to make movies related to God just to make money. If you are an atheist you should stop making movies related to God and stick to your principles of being atheist and try other @ssrajamouli aren't you that talented?"
