While Arjun Rampal's character was ruthless, merciless and devoid of empathy, the only person he seemed to remotely care about was his daughter.
His daughter was supposed to have Down Syndrome, becoming an additional reason as to why his father, Jahangir, would abuse Iqbal even more. The actress who played this small, yet integral role was Ahida Sarmai.

Ahida Sarmai's genetic condition did not stop her from pursuing a career in acting. Her parents were also aware of her interests and only encouraged her to get more into performing. Her involvement in Dhurandhar: The Revenge came much after the first film had been released. A social media post with her dancing on the iconic song, "Sharaarat," went viral and caught the attention of the casting directors.
The process of her becoming Major Iqbal's daughter was just as quick. After she was in their line of sight, she was called to audition and was cast as Arjun Rampal's character's daughter within a day.
Before she hit the spotlight, she worked on stage plays and theatrical productions. Sarmai was also part of two short films that remain unreleased. Her love for the arts doesn't just come in performing, but also in painting.
She showcased her work at exhibitions like the NCPA (National Centre of the Performing Arts) in 2025. Now that people have seen her in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, it could mark a big change in her career as well as the representation of people with Down Syndrome in Bollywood.
