MPCC sets up quick response team, urges Congress workers to assist public in containing COVID-19
Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has constituted a Quick Response Team (QRT) to face the critical situation in the state against the backdrop of COVID-19 outbreak.
MPCC president, M Okendro has appealed to all the PCC members, MPCC Frontal organisations including departments, cells and Congressman to be more concerned with the pandemic caused by the global outbreak of COVID-19 and to be ready to volunteer to assist the public in containing spread of COVID-19 in Manipur and help save valuable lives.
"Every Congressman particularly those between age group of 20 to 40 years must get ready to assist the public in social distancing, hospitalisation, procurement of essential items, medicine, water and central financial assistance under the recent COVID-19 Relief Fund by strictly adhering to the guidelines issued by the state government," stated the appeal released to the media by the president.
It said that the QRT members may be called for urgent matters in this connection.

The MPCC president further appealed to every Congressman in Manipur to stand up against this formidable challenge with the true spirit of Indian National Congress Party and help save lives.
"Congress Party stands with the people of Manipur at this critical time and we extend co-operation and support with the government of Manipur in its fight against COVID-19 in the state," it added.
