Investments in the Indian startup ecosystem continued to pick up momentum in the second week of June. Twenty five startups raised $242.6 Mn between June 8 and June 12, marking a near 30% uptick from $187.4 Mn raised across 21 deals last week.
The top six startups on this week's funding scoreboard raised more than ₹100 Cr ($10 Mn) each in new investments, indicating an improvement in investor appetite for innovations in the homegrown new-age tech ecosystem.

Key Startup Funding Highlights Of The Week
- With GPS Renewables closing its Series C round at $66.4 Mn, cleantech emerged as the most funded startup sector this week. In total, two startups in the segment raised $87.5 Mn this week.
- Advanced hardware & technology saw the highest number of deals materialise at five this week, raising a total of $42.3 Mn.
- Peak XV Partners and Finvolve emerged as the most active investors this week, backing three startups each. Rainmatter and 3one4 Capital also backed two startups apiece.
- Seed stage funding skyrocketed to $22.3 Mn across five deals this week, marking a multifold jump from $3.1 Mn raised last week.
Startup IPO Updates This Week
- Quick commerce giant Zepto filed its updated DRHP with SEBI for its IPO, which will comprise a fresh issue of shares worth ₹8,010 Cr. Investors like Nexus Venture Partners, Razor Capital and Contrary Capital will also sell 11.35 Cr shares via the OFS.
- Edtech startup Klassroom is planning to launch its IPO on the BSE SME platform in the second quarter (July to September) of FY27. This follows the platform receiving in-principle nod from the BSE to go ahead with its listing.
- NSE-listed cloud service provider E2E Network debuted on BSE's Mainboard exchange after securing the necessary approvals from the exchanges.
Startup Fund Updates This Week
- Former Mirae Asset Venture Investments CEO Ashish Dave has floated his own venture capital firm Sanskrit Capital to back growth-stage startups. The investment firm is eyeing a target corpus of ₹700 Cr to ₹1,000 Cr
- Early-stage VC firm AUM Ventures also launched its second fund, India Innovation Fund II, with a target corpus of ₹750 Cr ($80 Mn). It will back 25-30 startups operating in deeptech sectors like spacetech, semiconductors, AI, and defence tech.
Startup M&As This Week
- Managed and coworking space provider Incuspaze acquired Hyderabad-based iKeva in an undisclosed financial deal to improve operational efficiency, strengthen technology capabilities, bolster revenues and standardise services across locations.
- Ecommerce giant Meesho plans to acquire B2B commerce startup Kirana Club in an all-cash deal worth ₹202.08 Cr. The listed unicorn expects the transaction to be completed in three tranches by March, 2027.
Other Developments Of The Week
- Recently listed NBFC Aye Finance's board has approved a proposal to issue non-convertible debentures, on a private placement basis, for a sum of $15 Mn.
- Construction and interior materials marketplace Mad Over Buildings founder Kumar Vivek told Inc42 that the startup is in talks to raise ₹30 Cr at a post-money valuation of ₹180 Cr.
- IN-SPACe has selected Astrobase Space Technologies, SatSure Analytics and TakeMe2Space for funding under its Technology Adoption Fund (TAF) scheme.
