BPSC Interview Dress Code: After any major exam, when it's time for an interview, people become quite nervous. Especially when it comes to Public Service Commission interviews, they research various things beforehand.
Many people assume that they should wear a new coat, pants, and a tie to the IAS or PCS interview. This is generally the case, but did you know that there's no such dress code required for this interview? The Bihar Public Service Commission's Examination Controller himself explained how to dress during an interview.
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) shared a video on its social media handle, which includes a podcast clip. The clip features Rajesh Kumar Singh, the Bihar Public Service Commission's Examination Controller. When asked what kind of clothing should be worn for an interview and what the Board pays most attention to, the Examination Controller explained the essential things to wear during the interview.
What is the interview dress code?
Rajesh Kumar Singh, Controller of Examinations for the Bihar Public Service Commission, explained, "There's no dress code. Formal attire isn't mandatory; you can wear anything, but it's important to have decent attire that makes you look officer-worthy. Clothes should be washed and ironed. It's not mandatory to wear a coat, pants, or a tie. You can also wear a shirt and pants."
The beard should be well-shaped
The BPSC's Controller of Examinations stated that if you have a beard, it shouldn't be untidy; it should be trimmed properly. Women should also wear a sari or a suit, and should look decent. We understand that many people come from rural backgrounds who may not be able to wear a coat, pants, or a tie. However, one should wear clean and tidy clothes, as first impressions are crucial, and clothing plays a vital role in that.
