Delete all emails with 'Unsubscribe'
If you want to remove all marketing emails from your Gmail, follow these steps:
Open Gmail in a web browser and click on Inbox.
Type 'Unsubscribe' in the search bar and press Enter.
You will now see all promotional emails that have an unsubscribe option. (Companies are legally required to provide this option.)
To select all emails at once, click on the small checkbox in the top left corner.
Click on "Select all". A blue notification will appear: "Select all conversations that match this search"
After selecting all emails, click on the trash icon at the top.
This will move all selected emails to the Trash folder.
If you want to remove emails from other tabs like Promotions or Social, repeat the same process.
Delete emails from a specific person or period
If you want to delete emails from a specific person or a set period, follow the steps below:
Login to Gmail and type this query in the search bar:
To delete emails from a specific person: from:email@example.com
To delete emails sent to a specific person: to:email@example.com
To delete emails after a specific period: after:2023-11-01 (change this date to suit your needs)
You can also combine multiple search queries, such as from:email@example.com OR to:email@example.com OR after:2023-11-01
Click the checkbox in the top-left corner and press the trash icon.
How to recover deleted emails?
If you accidentally deleted an important email, don't panic!
All deleted emails in Gmail remain in the "Trash" folder for 30 days.
During this time, you can recover them by going to the Trash folder.
After 30 days, the email is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
