It's especially important to keep the mobile number linked to Aadhaar active, as OTPs for many services are sent to that number. Sometimes, people acquire a new SIM card or their old number becomes inactive. In such situations, updating the mobile number linked to Aadhaar becomes essential. Now, you don't need to visit an Aadhaar service center for this task. With the help of the Unique Identification Authority of India's (UIDAI) new Aadhaar mobile app, you can do this yourself from the comfort of your home. Let's learn how:

Update your mobile number using the app:
First, open the new Aadhaar mobile app on your smartphone.
Log in using Aadhaar-based authentication.

After logging in, you'll see a section titled 'Services' on the app's homepage. After clicking on it, several features will appear, including the option to Update Mobile Number.

Now, click on this option. The app will then show you the mobile number currently linked to your Aadhaar. Here, you'll need to enter the new mobile number that you want to link to Aadhaar.

After entering the number, an OTP will be sent to the new mobile number. Verify the OTP by entering it in the app.
