With this announcement, candidates have a clear timeframe for exam preparation. Those participating in this recruitment process will now need to finalize their preparations according to the scheduled time.
The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has issued a notice stating that the Lekhpal Mains exam will be held on May 21, 2026. This exam will be conducted in a single shift. According to the Commission, the exam will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The notice also states that the written examination for the Lekhpal Mains Exam (Pre-AP-2025)/01, to be conducted under Advertisement No. 02-Exam/2025, will be conducted on the scheduled date. In such a situation, candidates now have approximately two months to improve their preparation.
Eligibility to Appear for the Mains Exam
Only those candidates who have taken the Uttar Pradesh Preliminary Eligibility Test (UP PET) and cleared the cutoff set by the Commission will be eligible to appear for the Lekhpal Mains exam. Only those who clear the cutoff will be eligible for the Mains exam. Therefore, those selected should now fully focus on preparing for the Mains.
The Exam Pattern Will Change This Time
The pattern of the Lekhpal Mains exam will be slightly different this time compared to previous years. Previously, the exam primarily focused on questions related to math, general knowledge, Hindi, and rural environments, but now the syllabus has been expanded. The new exam may also include questions from subjects such as data interpretation, computers, science and technology, and economics. Therefore, candidates will need to incorporate these new subjects into their preparation.
Admit Cards and Exam City Slips Will Be Released
The Commission will release the exam city slips and admit cards a few days before the exam. Candidates will be able to download them from the official website.
